Lake Travis Regional Household Hazardous Waste Day
Free drop-off days for Lakeway, Bee Cave, The Hills, Hurst Creek MUD, Lakeway MUD and WCID 17 customers. Next: Wednesday, Oct. 14, 9:30am to 12:30pm. Sign up first and bring a license or utility bill. Original labeled containers only; 30-gallon limit.
Can I use it?
Free for residential customers of the partners: Lakeway, Bee Cave, The Hills, Hurst Creek MUD, Lakeway MUD and WCID 17. Your ID or bill must show an address inside one of them.
People from other areas are turned away.
Household waste only. No business waste.

Other options they point to
Travis County residents can take electronics, tires and other hazardous waste to the City of Austin Recycle and Reuse Center (appointment required). Medicines can go to the drop-off kiosk at the Travis County Constable Precinct 5 office, 1003 Guadalupe, Austin, weekdays 8am to 5pm.
Good to know
Sort items first and don't bring trash. Carry items in boxes where they can be seen. Dried-out latex paint cans can go in your household trash. Free reused paint and household products can be picked up on event days after you sign a waiver.
