Free for Austin and Travis County residents; people from other counties pay a fee. Appointment only: book online or in the Austin Recycles app. Bring a photo ID and a recent utility bill. Card payments only. Takes electronics and tires. No needles or business waste.

Free for City of Austin utility customers and anyone who lives in Travis County. People from other areas, or anyone without a current utility bill, can use it for a fee. Households only.

Austin curbside customers can book a hazardous waste pickup at home instead. For needles and syringes, Austin's rules say to seal them in a hard plastic or metal container with a screw-on or tight lid, label it "sharps" and put it in your trash cart.
Good to know
Bring products in their original containers and don't mix them. Put small containers upright in sturdy boxes, not trash bags. If something leaks, set it in a container with cat litter. Pay by card only; no cash and no refunds. Free reused products and ReBlend paint are available.
