The Colony Household Hazardous Waste, Electronics, Needles and Medication Collection Center
Drop-off for The Colony residents three times a month by Fire Station #2. Takes chemicals, oil-based paint, batteries, electronics, medicines and sharps. Bring your Texas driver's license or a current utility bill. Liquid latex paint is not taken.

When to go
First Monday of the month 4 to 7pm. Third Wednesday 1 to 4pm. Third Saturday 8am to noon. May close for bad weather or holidays; call 972-624-3131 to check.

Oil, antifreeze, car batteries and tires can also go to the city's Fleet Maintenance Center, 1 Harris Plaza, Suite 2, Monday to Thursday 8am to 3pm. Dried-out latex paint, alkaline batteries, soaps and adhesives can go in the trash.
Good to know
The center is in the parking lot east of Fire Station #2.
