Irving Special Waste Curbside Pickup
Irving residents can call the city by 9am on trash day to have old paint, motor oil and filters, antifreeze, cooking oil and car batteries picked up at the curb. Needles are also picked up if packed in a hard, taped container.

How to book
On your regular trash day, when you call by 9am.
You need an appointment.
Call Solid Waste Services at 972-721-2232 by 9am on your trash collection day to set up a special pickup.

In their words: household paint in sealed containers up to 5 gallons, used motor oil in 1-gallon sealed containers, oil filters in clear sealed plastic bags, up to five, antifreeze and transmission fluid in 1-gallon sealed containers, vegetable cooking oil in 1-gallon sealed containers, lead acid car or light truck batteries, hypodermic needles.
Needles and sharps: yes. Put needles in a container that cannot be punctured, such as an empty coffee can, plastic milk jug or soda bottle, with the lid on and taped closed. Call to arrange collection..
