Free drop-off events for Grand Prairie residents several times a year. You must register first, and each household can use the city's hazardous waste service once a year. No syringes, medicines or electronics. The 2026 events are over.

Several Saturday events a year. The 2026 events were May 16, June 6 and September 26. Call for the next date.

Grand Prairie residents can instead get a free voucher from Public Health and Environmental Quality (972-237-8055) to use the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center, 6400 Bridge St. Old medicines go to the Grand Prairie Police Department's Public Safety Building, 1525 Arkansas Lane, weekdays 8am to 4pm. Free electronics recycling events are usually held at the same time and place.
