How to book

Once a month on a set pickup day. The next one is Tuesday, October 20, 2026.

You need an appointment.

Book one pickup a month online on the HHW Solutions page for Edgecliff Village or call 214-226-5693. Set items on your front porch by 8am on the pickup day. They are picked up between 8am and 6pm.

What they take

• Motor oil
• Cooking oil
• Household batteries
• Rechargeable and lithium batteries
• Car batteries
• Old paint
• Fluorescent bulbs and tubes
• Cleaners and household chemicals
• Aerosol cans
• Car fluids (antifreeze, brake fluid)
• Gas and other fuels
• Weed and bug killers, fertilizer
• Pool chemicals
• Stains, thinners and solvents

In their words: used motor oil and used cooking oil (screw-top lid), batteries of all kinds, paint of all kinds, light bulbs of all kinds, household cleaners, aerosol cans, automotive fluids and fuels, lawn and garden items including fertilizer, pesticides and weed killers, pool chemicals and additives, varnishes, strippers, turpentine and stains, glues and epoxies.

Needles and sharps: not taken here.

Limits per visit

• One pickup per month
• Fluorescent bulbs: 8 per pickup
• Used motor oil or antifreeze: 5 gallons per pickup
• Paint and supplies, pool and household chemicals: 10 gallons per pickup
• Household cleaners, pesticides and fertilizers: 8 items per pickup
• Household batteries: 20 per pickup
• Small containers must fit in a box no larger than 20 x 14 x 14 inches

Good to know

Everything must be in its original labeled container with a spill-proof lid, except motor oil and cooking oil in a screw-top container. Do not mix chemicals. Put small items in a labeled plastic bag. Items set out without booking are not picked up.
